Product Description
Nearly every Duramax has a wheel hop issue right off of the factory floor. Even under stock power levels this wheel hopping can cause extremely costly repairs, including broken driveshafts, broken axle pinion yokes, premature u-joint failure and wearing of suspension components. On top of these issues anytime the wheel hops, it is not touching the pavement. If it is not touching the pavement, you’re not getting traction!
At Longhorn Fab Shop we listened to our customers’ demands and have created a simple professional grade solution to the problem. Our traction bars strong enough for dedicated sled pullers and drag racers. Whether you drive your truck to watch the competition, or trailer it in because you ARE the competition you’ll love the strength, design, adjustability, and ease of installation.
Key Features:
- Massive 2” steel bars are HEAVY DUTY and twice the thickness of our standard bars.
- Nylon injected, oil impregnated races designed for BAJA trucks and NASCAR provide long, service free, and rattle free life.
- Comes standard with our professional grade brackets.

Top notch quality, great kit, easy install.
I'm running a 3" drop shackle, and removed the overload springs on my 2wd LMM. It rode smoothly, but removing the overload caused really bad axle hop, even under mild acceleration. I threw on a set of the Professional Grade bars, and immediately noticed a huge improvement. They eliminated axle wrap altogether. Installation was easy, and I was impressed with the strength/beefiness of the rear bracket. It easily installed under the factory U-bolt plate. The front bracket easily installed by drilling three 1/2" holes. They ride smooth, are quiet, and overall are a great product. LT

easy install...built like a tank
Shipping took slightly longer than originally thought. Once arrived these things are MASSIVE. Few flaws in the powdercoat but overall great sturdy product.

Quality Product
Our shop recently installed a set of Professional Grade traction bars on an LMM Duramax. Parts fit well and are extremely heavy duty. Very nice product!

Quality for sure
I am amazed the quality of these traction bar. Most generally a single straight traction bar under a lot of stress will bend. I have not installed these bars yet but i can assure you theres no way any amount of power is going to bend these. Very high quality, going to be simple to install and simple to adjust when i head to the track. Very Impressed!

well worth it
Bought these for my 2005 regular cab long box with zf6 trans. Truck always got really wild banging through gears or just driving in snow or rain. Axle hopped like crazy. Bought the 72" bars. Took 3 days to ship to Iowa. Free shipping. Put on in driveway w/o air tools. If I did it again I'd get the longer bars just for fitment on my particular frame. Only thing I can say is I can't believe how much if a difference it made. For anyone who cares, it does ride a little rougher but hardly enough to notice. Only thing that would be better is if they were offered in multiple powder coated colors. Great quality product.
