Longhorn Fab Shop 2" Duramax Traction Bars (2" Diameter 2001-2010) (Pair)
Nearly every Duramax has a wheel hop issue right off of the factory floor. Even under stock power levels this wheel hopping can cause extremely costly repairs, including broken driveshafts, broken axle pinion yokes, premature u-joint failure and wearing of suspension components. On top of these issues anytime the wheel hops, it is not touching the pavement. If it is not touching the pavement, you’re not getting traction!

Good bang for the buck
I installed these bars on my '04 GMC 2500HD Long box last week and have had no issues yet. From the showroom floor, this truck has had a wheel-hop problem. After installing the Longhorn Fab Shop traction bars, the problem was virtually non-existant. I've made a few loose terrain launches and dry pavement hot-starts with minimal axle wrap. Once I re-adjust the pre-load, I'm certain it will be a problem of the past. I recommend these bars to anyone with a similar issue. The only down side is that the real axle mounting brackets hang LOW. If you do any off roading, i highly suggest a tall set of tires, as these bars hang roughly to the outer radius of the rim (16" wheels). Towing, sled pulling, and drag racing won't be affected. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I'm enjoying mine!

found longhorn fab shop through a forum searching for traction bar bolt on kits and i am defiantly glad i chose them installed very easy, directions very helpful and basic. would recommend to a friend or fellow truck owner

I had a good experence with longhorn and there traction bars they sold me! They were very helpful fast shipping and it was an easy install! Can't wait to order more things for my truck from them! It's worth the extra day or too for shipping then to go to my local shops around here who have no clue what there talking about

easy installation great results
Installed in under 2 hours. Everything went together flawlessly. Axle wrap and wheel hop is no longer and issue. Awesome product.

exactly what you would expect
I had a set 2 years ago. That Duramax was stolen at the beginning of the year sadly. Now I just recieved a set of these for the new truck and they are even better then the first set I had! --and I was happy with them! They really stepped up their game with these bars! Thank you very much longhorn!

Quality Product at a Great Price - Buy em, you won't regret it
I have installed a few sets of these tractions bars and they are a quality product at a great price. I really like the new machined weld-in inserts for the bars. The new ends have better thread quality, machined flats to allow easier bar adjustments, and since they are 2" like the bar OD it makes the bar look beefier. I am sure these machined inserts cost more than the tractor link ends, but Manfred has provided this 'upgrade' without increasing the cost to the customer. His new "competition" brackets are super beefy and look great as well. If you are on the fence whether to buy these bars and brackets or build your own, save yourself some time and money and buy these Longhorn Traction Bars!
